Hsinchu, Taiwan, July 28, 2022 — MPI Corporation’s Advanced Semiconductor Test Division, an industry and innovation leader of semiconductor test solutions initiated the integration of the TS3500-SE automated wafer probe test system with WaferWallet®MAX, a multi-purpose cassette, FOUP self-docking 200 mm and 300 mm handling solution, into a leading WLR test process.

The WaferWallet®MAX provides an automation solution by increasing overall testing time over 400% without compromising measurement accuracy and capability. It increases testing efficiency and productivity further by reducing temperature soaking time (part of the overall test time), while enabling hot/cold wafer swapping – which is a unique capability of loading and unloading wafers while the chuck remains at any test temperature.

MPI successfully collaborates with imec for integration of its WaferWallet®MAX solution in imec’s Advanced Reliability Robustness and Test (AR²T) department, leveraging their 200 and 300mm WLR qualification activities in support of their Logic, Insite and Memory R&D programs.

MPI America Inc. Agrees to Acquire Celadon Systems Inc.

San Jose, CA August 26th, 2021 – MPI America Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of MPI Corporation Taiwan, and recognized globally as a leader in semiconductor test, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Celadon Systems Inc, the market leader in ultra-high performance semiconductor test probe cards. The relocation to the new bigger facility right next to MPI Headquarters will help meet the long-term growth of MPI Thermal products in the global market place of today’s new technologies in areas such as Semiconductor, 5G, AI, Automotive, Sensors, Fiber Optic, and other industries’ test application that require thermal testing environments.
Providing global customers with first-class quality service has always been the core concept of MPI Thermal. With the corporate’s expansion plan, the new facility capacity has increased by 30% compared to the past, and 20,000 square feet of space is reserved for future growth. MPI Advanced Semiconductor Test Division (AST) in New Facility

MPI’s Advanced Semiconductor Test Division (AST) proudly announces a move into a new 5-floor facility located next to the original MPI Corporate Headquarters in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The expansion is a necessary and significant step as a result of MPI’s growth over the last several years.

Hsinchu, Taiwan, February 1, 2021 – MPI Corporation’s Advanced Semiconductor Test Division, a leading provider of accurate and innovative wafer level test solutions for the semiconductor industry, is moving into a new facility in Hsinchu, Taiwan. MPI Corporation is responding to increased industry demand for its semiconductor test equipment due to growing technology inflections points such as 5G wireless, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

“We are very pleased to announce the opening of a new facility,” says Scott Kuo, CEO of MPI Corporation. “This is not only an opportunity to bring our relatively new Advanced Semiconductor Test and Thermal Divisions directly within the MPI corporate park, but it also allows us to further expand our manufacturing capabilities and meet the growing needs of the semiconductor test market.”

The new Advanced Semiconductor Test facility plant comprises over 90,000 square feet, along with several areas designated for office, production, application, demonstration, training center and a first floor loading dock.

“Our team could not be prouder of the achievements these past few years, as the Advanced Semiconductor Test Division became an undisputed innovation and a market leader in several segments within our served available market,” says Dr. Stojan Kanev, General Manager of the Advanced Semiconductor Test Division. “In our new production site, the division will achieve even greater flexibility to meet customer demands, such as accelerated support, delivery and overall response times.”

The new location has begun operation, and the first systems will be delivered to customers starting in January 2021.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in developing HW and SW measurement methodologies/solutions for analytical wafer probe solutions with signal applications from DC to millimeter wave frequencies as well as Silicon Photonics (SiPH);
  • Collaborate with customers on their measurement challenges, and provide applications specific product training;
  • Provide pre- and post-sale support to AST, customers, service department, and the sales channel developing HW and SW measurement solutions for analytical wafer probe stations;
  • Define application-specific solutions based on customer-provided device data and facilitate both customer and divisional teams to successful results;
  • Perform product training seminars for customer and sales channels as well as participate in trade shows and technical seminars;
  • Make recommendations regarding product improvement, new products, and quality enhancement;
  • Author, document, publish, and present measurement solutions via Seminars, Applications Notes, Briefs, and White Papers;
  • Prepare, plan, and assist with customer product demonstrations that highlight value-based differentiation of AST product offerings;
  • Develop unique and individual customer presentations designed to professionally position the MPI brand in the North American market and deliver formal presentations to customers.

Job Requirements:

Master’s degree in Electrical Eng., Electronics Eng., Physics, or Photonics; Must possess 6 months of relevant work experience; Travel to customers’ sites in US and headquarters in Taiwan is required.
